A small theatre troupe wins the bid for a touring show. After meeting the official in the commercial organisation, the head of the troupe finds that the ultimate goal of the show is “purely funny”.  Since the official has complete control on the show, the troupe faces a wave of “oppression” where they bend to survive, “trying to be funny”.  Meanwhile, the official is gradually immersed in the show that he cocreates. Facing competing values of “earning a living” and “dignity”, what should the troupe do?
