CHAN Siu-tung
Chan graduated from the School of Drama, The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in acting. He has been pursuing his path in playwriting and acting since graduation. During his study, Chan was awarded a number of accolades, including the Society of APA Scholarship, Jackie Chan Charitable Foundation Scholarship, HSBC Hong Kong-Mainland Student Exchange Scholarship, Disneyland Scholarship, and Outstanding Acting Award. In 2015, Chan was a member of Hong Kong Repertory Theatre’s Playwright’s Lab.
His scripts include: Prospects Theatre’s Acting Family, International School, Sperm Hero; “New Force in Motion” Series Made in Hong Kong; iStage’s A Night in the Triad Family; several musicals for RTHK; BHT Theatre’s Love Story of Moses, Useless, My Dream Home Gone; Hong Kong Repertory Theatre’s Invisible Men; and Big Honor Entertainment’s Let’s Hunt for a “Tiger” Tonight. He also devised LunGGshow’s Laboratory of Lungg, and Lam1Hey Small Talk Show Sad but True. His scripts My Dream Home Gone and Invisible Men were nominated for Best Script at the 7th and 8th Hong Kong Theatre Libre respectively, while Useless won Best Script at the 6th Hong Kong Theatre Libre. Moreover, Black Comedy Try to be Fun were nominated for the Script / Playwright of the Year at the IATC(HK) Critics Awards 2021. He also won the Best Leading Actor (Comedy/Farce) by Black Comedy Try to be Fun at 30th Hong Kong Drama Awards.
