Rick CHEUNG Hok-leung
Graduated from Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, School of Dance (majoring in Musical Theatre) in 2003. In 2007, Rick has been a full-time performer on Australia P&O Cruises. During 2012–14 Rick is become a contracted TV Artiste in HKTV. With the role Adam in The Shape of Things, Rick has been awarded The Best Actor in Leading Role in the 6th Hong Kong Theatre Libre. Also Rick has been nominated The Best Actor in Supporting Role in the 26th Hong Kong Drama Award with the role Sister Mary Leo in Nunsense A-Men.
His performances include: WestK x HKRep The Impossible Trial – a musical, Alice Theatre LaboratoryThe Tempest, Pants Theatre Production Gross Indecency-The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde, On & On Theatre Workshop Postcolonial Affairs of Foods and the Heart etc.
In 2017, Rick’s first directed stage production, Killing Time, premiered at Kwai Ching Black Box Theatre. In 2023, Rick publishes his first self-written, directed and performed stage production All is Calm.
Rick is now a freelance creator and the postgraduate student at the School of Drama, Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in dramaturgy.
