A theatre director, freelance playwright, and theatre consultant, Chan Chi-wah graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering, Hong Kong Polytechnic University.  His works have been widely performed across theatre, TV, dance theatre and ballets (school tours).  In recent years, he has published three drama anthologies: Black Enough, Top White and Short. Chan's works are known for their idiosyncratic and pioneering views, and have been the recipient of many nominations and awards. His works have been staged in Beijing, Shanghai, Taiwan, Singapore, Japan and New York.
