LEE Kwok-wai Weigo
Graduated from Hong Kong Polytechnic (majoring in Electrical Engineering) and Drama School of Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (majoring in Directing), Weigo LEE Kwok Wai's career as a professional theatre director has won him five "Best Director" awards in the years 2000, 2002, 2007, 2008 and 2012 in the Hong Kong Drama Awards.
 
He worked as the resident director of Prospects Theatre Company from 1994 to 2006, during which his works have won a Best Overall Performance and seven Top-ten Productions of the Year awards in the Hong Kong Drama Awards.
 
As a veteran theatre director in Hong Kong, LEE has directed over 80 productions and collaborated with different theatre companies in Hong Kong. Recent works included The Gin Game, Art, Death and The Maiden, The real Thing, Circle Mirror Transformation, The Ugly One, God of Carnage, Proof, The Collected Stories, Die Firma dankt and Oleanna. His works are not only featured in the local stage, but also have toured to Toronto, Korea, Mainland China, Taiwan and Macau. His critically acclaimed work with the Hong Kong Repertory Theatre Company, The Gin Game was presented in the World Theatre Festival in Nanking in 2008 and later toured in Chinese cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Chongqing.
 
LEE has also worked for the translation of a number of plays, including Marvin's Room, Misunderstanding, Death, The Accidental Death of an Anarchist, The Gin Game, Art, Trumpets and Raspberries, Tuesdays with Morrie, I Ought to be in Pictures, Death and The Maiden, The Real Thing, Six Characters In Search Of An Author, Red, Dead Man's Cell Phone, Three Tall Women, Circle Mirror Transformation, La Dispute ,The Collected Stories, Rabbit Hole, Oleanna and Die Firma dankt.
 
LEE is currently the member of Theatre Art Form Panel of Leisure and Cultural Department, the assessor of Hong Kong Arts Development Council, Expert Adviser of Arts Capacity Development Funding Scheme of Home Affairs Bureau and Honorable Adviser of Emperor Entertainment Academy for Performing Arts.
 
LEE is currently the artistic director of 'Theatre Styles Theatre' in Macau.
