Waking Dreams in 1984
Waking Dreams in 1984 was originally written in the 80s when the "Hong Kong future issue" was widely debated.

Chan Ping-chiu revisits his past writing and subtly puts it in dialogue with the post-umbrella movement period. An earnest reflection about the previous generation of activists and intellectuals who were entrapped in their lucid dream in the room of "borrowed time, borrowed space".

Closing programme of New Writing Festival 2015-16.
