Tête-bêche
Tête-bêche is the latest signature work of Chan Ping-chiu, Artistic Director of On & On Theatre Workshop, and collabrating with Birdy Wong as co-playwright. Following Postcolonial Affairs of Food and the Heart (2014 & 2016) and Tian Gong Kai Wu (2007), Chan Ping-chiu once again draws inspiration from Hong Kong literature classics to create his stage adaptation.
Combining Liu Yi-chang’s short novel Intersection and Wrong Number, as well as Intersecting Intersection, a spin-off of the former by Dung Kai-cheung, Chan and Wong creates a modern version of the finale for this timeless story, playful and fascinating to watch.
