Accidentally trapped by the dust, riddled with wounds, salvaging some love, Wearing out iron shoes, breaking free from the cocoon, yet the ties of love remain. Ngau Chi Wan used to be a bay and was one of the "Thirteen Villages in Kowloon". According to the Xin'an County Records, the village of Ngau Chi Wan already existed in the early Qing Dynasty. The urban planners of Hong Kong did not provide for the original Ngau Chi Wan village to be rebuilt, so it has become the only 'village remnant' within a contemporary city district.

Although Ngau Chi Wan is still a village, as the population of Hong Kong has exploded, the trees of the old village have been replaced by tall buildings, the villages have become housing estates, and the criss-crossing paths in the fields have been transformed into a highway network. This phenomenon can be seen as a metaphor for life, where name and reality do not necessarily match.

Through the vehicle of a missing person story, this play will explore both the changes undergone by Ngau Chi Wan, as well as the contradiction between name and reality in contemporary life. Ultimately, we wish to interrogate a central theme in life: should one 'persevere' or 'let go'?
