The Monkey Paradox, From “A Report to an Academy” by Kafka
A Monkey, captured by humans, learns language and behavior to escape captivity, ultimately "becoming" human and standing at the podium of a scientific academy.
What appears to be a successful transformation is in fact filled with compromises and sacrifices.
A calm and unflinching monologue confronts the blurred boundaries of freedom, adaptation, and identity.
