CHAN Wing-chuen
The Artistic Director of Pop Theatre, an experienced performer, playwright and director, Chan Wing-wah graduated from the first cohort of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majored in acting. He was the recipent of a scholarship by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council and studied at the Ecole Philippe Gaulier in France.
In 2018, he was awarded Best Supporting Actor (Comedy / Farce) for The Truth (PROJECT ROUNDABOUT, 2017) at the 27th Hong Kong Drama Award.
In 2016, he was nominated for Best Director at the 25th Hong Kong Drama Awards for a Broadway Musical Title of Show, which was also named one of the Ten Most Popular Productions. The original musical A Bright Dark Night was sponsored by the Quanta Arts Foundation to participate in the Original Chinese Language Musicals Festival in Taiwan.
In 2015, he was awarded Best Actor for The Wild Boar in the 24th Hong Kong Drama Awards, as well as Best Supporting Actor (Tragedy / Drama) at the New Vision Arts Festival for Hedda Gabler.
In 2012, he was nominated for Best Director at the 21st Hong Kong Drama Awards for Eight Hundred Years of Hatred, Eight Hundred Years of Healing, which was also named one of the Ten Most Popular Productions.
In 2001 he was awarded Outstanding Young Actor at the 10th Hong Kong Drama Awards.

He is currently an examiner for the Arts Development Council and a judge for the Hong Kong Drama Awards, Hong Kong Federation of Drama Societies.
He is currently a lecturer in theatrical performance at New Asia College, Chinese University of Hong Kong. He also served as part-time lecturer at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (School of Drama and Musical Theatre), and a guest drama instructor for the Higher Diploma in Creative Film Production at Hong Kong Baptist University.
