Graduated from the Full-time All-round Theatre Certificate Training at Radix Troupe and School of Drama, the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) Degree in Drama, majoring in Acting, Choi won the Academy’s Outstanding Actor Award and Outstanding Actor in the Hong Kong Theatre Libre for his performance in the school production Der Goldene Drache. 
 
Recent performances include Lake Boat co-organized by Kok Siu-kit and Chau Ka-lun; Der Goldene Drache, the musical Man Of La Mancha by Chung Ying Theatre; Legend by Max Wisdom Development Ltd.; A Kid Story by the Education University of Hong Kong.
