Jen LAM
Jen Lam received MA Arts and Cultural Enterprise from Central Saint Martins, UAL. She previously completed her studies in theatre and arts administration in the US and Australia. She founded the arts unit Riceballer in 2013 and is currently the artistic director of Riceballer, and the PR manager of a local theatre troupe Edward Lam Dance Theatre.
Lam has written and directed many works, her profile includes: wrote, directed and acted in Woman solo series A Diary's about a Girl's Happiness (8th run), Call me if you love me, 11520, My First Bra Talks, See You when I See You, and online zoom theatre Table for Two; as a participating artist in An Invitation: On Empty Theatre co-presented by Freespace, West Kowloon and Edward Lam Dance Theatre; co-produced woman-solo translated work Girls and Boys with Edward Lam Dance Theatre, and directed experimental works: One Day We Crashed, Where's Martin, Dream On!, Her diaries, GG Laboratory, etc. Her works can also be found on the internet, where she co-produced an online radio drama series GIRLS ON WIRE with a woman’s platform she.com.
On arts education and promotion, Lam has organised theatre workshops and talks for local tertiary institutions and different organisations. Her Drama Queen workshop is Hong Kong’s first woman-solo drama workshop, in which the stories of over 50 individual girls were told.
