Boney Show
Boney Show is a local non-profit theatre organization aiming to contribute to the community by inspiring people to rethink about life through theatre performances. Since its establishment in 2009, Boney Show continues to create performances about social issues in humor, and resonate with the audience. The nuclear members of Boney Show include people from the education sector, such as university professors, primary and secondary school teachers, art educators and psychologists. Boney Show hopes to stimulate thinking through creating entertaining programmes. After 10 years of dedicated work, all 40 shows that they produced within these five years were sold out, and many audiences were introduced to theatre for the first time. Expanding new theatre audience in Hong Kong is our mission. Since 2016, Boney Show has been working enthusiastically in organizing children theatre educational programme through illustrated story books as a teaching tool for activities and performances. Children can have the opportunity to build stage experiences and learn to express themselves by working with professional performers, and to develop a well-rounded character. Boney Show also hopes to introduce and nurture the appreciation of performing arts to families through producing public theatre performances that are family-friendly. In three years’ time, Boney Show has organized and collaborated a variety of workshops and outreach programmes for over 1,000 children by providing a unique character development and art education journey.
