Caroline Yuen Yu CHAN
In 2019, Chan Yuen Yu returned from Taiwan after earning her Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature. She then graduated with honours in 2023 from the School of Drama at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in Acting. She was named Outstanding Actor for her role(s) in Songs of Innocence and Experience (2022). She has also appeared in such HKAPA productions as The Blinds 3.0 (Taiwan and Guangzhou Tour), Moscow…Why?, and The Imaginary Invalid. She was a recipient of the HKSAR Government Scholarship for Outstanding Performance and the Alumni Association Scholarship.
Caro’s stage credits include: Deliberate Collision Stage Reading: MY H8 LETTER 2 THE GR8 AMERICAN THEATRE (2025), On & On Theatre Workshop: Flowing Warblers (2024), The Algorithmic Theatre: Labyss (2024), Hong Kong Repertory Theatre: The Doctor (2024), WestK X Reframe Theatre: Post Office in Hell (Part 1) (2024), WestK X Rooftop Productions: Songs of Innocence and Experience (2024), “Playwrights’ Imagination” HKAPA MFA Playwriting Showcase (Play-reading Theatre): In/Out 99% Understanding (2021), and McMuiMui Dansemble: MMM:RE (2019). She also participated in Andy Chow's “THE END” (2022) and JB's “Let’s Play” (2021) concerts as a backing vocalist and dancer.
In film and television, she has appeared in music videos for Jer Lau's “A Madman’s Diary”, “Stella Moments of Humankind”; Joyce Cheng's “First Tear Last Salute”, and Jason Chan's “Evening Alone at the Art Gallery”. She also made her first appearance on the reality TV show Be an Acting Star, and will appear in the upcoming TV series Uncle Mom and Where Is My 15 Minutes? Additionally, she is involved in an upcoming independent film titled Let's Have a Cup of Doodh Patti Chai.
As a bilingual and trilingual emcee, she has hosted events including the 2024 “Hong Kong Performing Arts Expo: Leadership Talk”, “SDF: The Feast of Dance 2024”, the 1st “Mini-ramp Game of S.K.A.T.E.” Competition 2023, and “the Freespace Jazz Fest 2023”.
Caro has been testing out self written material at open mics and performing stand-up comedy at venues such as The Aftermath, Backstage Comedy, Takeout Comedy, AIA Carnival Blue Girl Dai Pai Dong, Terrible Baby, Bobby’s Rabble, Not2Sweet and Flat Iron since September 2024. She most recently completed the English to Cantonese/Chinese translation of the British play DNA for the HKAPA School of Drama's Production in 2025.
