Curtis Yuen graduated in 2019 from the School of Drama at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, where he majored in Acting. In 2021, he was an Artist-in-Residence at Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium in Denmark.
 
His acting credits include Theatre Space’s Grave of the Fireflies and African Lion@ Chungking Mansions; XTRAMENTAL’s Elevator of Memories; and Sailing Is For Nomads, organised by Li Ni-shan and the Envoyage Artist Collective. He was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor at the 16th Hong Kong Theatre Libre for his performance in Elevator of Memories.
 
As a director, his work includes Theatre Space’s minimalist production Ellie, My Love; The High-Spirited Hong Kong Detective Musical under the Community Cultural Ambassador Scheme 2024; Musical Trio’s Rooftop Rhapsody for the Arts Experience Scheme for Senior Secondary Students; and XTRAMENTAL’s The Many Faces of Picasso (musical reading). Ellie, My Love received nominations from IATC (HK) for Performance of the Year and Director of the Year in 2022, and went on to win Best Overall Performance and Best Director at the 14th Hong Kong Theatre Libre.
 
He is currently a Drama Specialist at Theatre Space, a founding member of the Envoyage Artist Collective, and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Dramaturgy at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.
