Ivor Houlker is the founder and co-artistic director of Rooftop Productions (Hong Kong), working as a director, writer, music director, composer, designer and performer. He is the recipient of The 16th The Hong Kong Arts Development Awards - Award for Young Artist (Drama). His work often involves live music, live multimedia projection, original writing and intertextuality. Since 2014 his work has incorporated programming to create apps and real-time online platforms to enable new forms of live interaction. Ivor trained as a multidisciplinary performer, theatre artist and musician.
 
Ivor has worked and trained with various theatre groups and independent theatre artists throughout Europe, such as OPT Gardzienice (where he spent several years), The Grotowski Centre, Andrzej Wełmiński (Cricot2), Mischa Twitchin (Shunt), Helen Chadwick (Song Theatre), Andrea Cusumano (Sicily). His most recent performances in Hong Kong include: Karaoke, History Play, Songs of Innocence and Experience, Presence, We Still Dance, Testimony.
