Jim HUI Chun-pong
Jim Hui graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for the Performing Arts in 2013 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Acting. He is a freelance actor, scriptwriter and director.
In 2018, he received the Performance of the Year award in IATC (HK) Critics Awards for his performance in The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, and was nominated for Best Actor at the 9th Hong Kong Theatre Libre Awards for his role in Kassandra.
In 2024, he received the Best Script award at the 15th The Hong Kong Theatre Libre for The Bucket. He was also nominated for Best Original Song and Lyrics (lyrics) at the 22nd Hong Kong Drama Awards for The Scholar and the Executioner from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. His recent works as a playwright include The Bucket and Twists and Turns with the Hong Kong Repertory Theatre.
